This soda wood-fired gaiwan tea set is crafted in Jingdezhen, the historic porcelain capital of China. Each piece is individually shaped and finished by hand, then fired in a traditional wood kiln with soda introduction at high temperature.

During soda firing, vaporized soda reacts naturally with flame, ash, and clay surfaces, creating subtle textures, organic transitions, and one-of-a-kind glaze effects. No two pieces are exactly alike.
